Stayc Velarde graduated graduated from Miami-Dade Community College with 2 degrees; an Associate’s of the Arts in Early Childhood Education and an Associate’s of Science in Early Childhood Development, while maintaining a 4.0 average. Her chosen profession for the last 18 years has been as a Preschool Gymnastics Director. Ms. Velarde has managed many gymnastics facilities across the nation, including owning 4 in Miami, FL. She is currently the owner and director of GYM-agination and Baby Signs with Stayc.  www.babysignswithstayc.com Stayc is passionate about supporting Queen for a Day. She became involved with QFAD in 2003, as a volunteer titleholder. She is now the director for the Dallas chapter of Queen for a Day. Stayc is also passionate about supporting the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. Stayc was recently awarded an ambassadorship for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Ms Stayc became involved with the cancer related programs, after she finished cancer treatments, about 11 years ago. She makes many appearances to help raise awareness and funds for research, treatment and counseling. www.queenforadaydallas.us Stayc has been involved in the pageant industry for the last 25 years as a contestant. She has competed in many different systems and has held state titles including Ms. Texas Plus America 2003 and Mrs. Texas Achievement Ambassador and the national title of Outstanding Woman in America 2006. Ms. Velarde is the reigning Mrs. Universal Elegance Ambassador, as well as, the Classic Beauty Director. Stayc has judged pageants all over the country for organizations, such as, COED, Galaxy, USA and MAO. In addition to judging and competing, Stayc has also emceed pageants.
